The authors and the journal apologise for errors that have occurred in the article by Holmes et al. in the August issue of the Journal of Endocrinology 198 367–374, entitled ‘Prolonged interleukin-6 administration enhances glucose tolerance and increases skeletal muscle PPAR and UCP2 expression in rats.’

In Fig. 5 on page 371, the immunoblot label should be PPAR and UCP3 and not as published. This error had no impact on the quantification, or the interpretation of the data. The correct figure is published below.
