ADSORPTION OF FREE STEROIDS WITH CHARCOAL-GELATIN DISKS IN RADIOIMMUNOASSAYS

The preparation of charcoal–gelatin disks and their use for removing free steroid in radioimmunoassays are described. Plasma concentrations of several steroids were determined using charcoal–gelatin disks or charcoal suspension and the results are compared. The advantages of using charcoal–gelatin disks are discussed.
